Animal shelter minneapolis volunteer. Our volunteer application process is on hold ahs is currently providing limited services due to covid 19. Most shifts are 1 5 2 hours long. From in shelter support to at home foster care volunteers support every facet of our work. Animal shelters are always in need of volunteers and with shelters located throughout the state there is an opportunity for all minnesotans to do their part to help local animals.

Since 1952 volunteers have been the backboneof pet haven and allowed us to keep our administrative costs down so public donations can go directly to animal care. Together we re creating a more humane world for animals. We provide training and support to a community of amazing volunteers who are committed to making minnesota a better place for animals. They re on call 24 7 for animal related emergencies.

We need volunteers to do home visits transports hold the dogs and puppies at adoption events fundraising help and many other things. Pet haven is a family. Animal shelter volunteer volunteer at animal shelters and give your love and care to animalsthat have been abandoned or abused by their owners and are looking for a new home. Animal control officers are essential personnel who serve the city of minneapolis seven days a week.

If you love animals but can t foster there are other ways you can help. Individuals 16 years of age or older are allowed to volunteer with the signed authorization of a parent guardian. Volunteers are able to serve at the shelter monday through friday 8am to 6 30pm and saturday sunday 8am to 4pm. Wags whiskers is always looking for people to help us save the lives of dogs cats rabbits and other companion animals.
